Tarot cards
Everybody knows that people use Tarot to see how they can help themselves, reach goals they have set in their lives, and see what is coming to them in the future. This is the main use for Tarot cards but many people do not realize that it is not the only use that you can get out of them. The original intended use for Tarot actually had nothing to do with mysticism or fortune telling at all, Tarot cards were later given that use by future civilizations. Below, there are a few of ways that Tarot can be used that you may not have thought of previously. Try some of them out, get creative, and have fun. What can be done with Tarot cards is limitless, the only thing that can hold you back is yourself.
1. Playing cards – This is actually the original use for Tarot cards, which many people are not aware of. There are four suits just as in a regular deck of playing cards. In Tarot, the suits are cups, coins, wands, and swords which correspond to the spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds that we are all familiar with. There are also “major arcana” found in Tarot cards which can be used as face cards, and there are numbered cards in Tarot as well. Using Tarot cards to play a game of War can be a pretty interesting experience.
2. Magic tricks – Tarot has come to be viewed as very mysterious art, so what better way to capitalize on that by using Tarot cards to do card tricks? It may not be as easy to do so since Tarot cards are generally much larger than regular playing cards, but using them will add to the mystique in a significant way. People might actually think that you have extrasensory powers when you amaze them with your Tarot magic abilities.
3. Business cards – It can be a very fun and quirky way to promote your business if you use Tarot cards and include your contact information on it. People will think that you have an interesting company and using Tarot will catch more eyes than a plain white card that everyone uses these days. Using Tarot cards is not going to work for all businesses, but if you are offering a service or product that people will like, Tarot may be the key.
These are just a few of the things that can be done with Tarot cards. Figure out how you can use them on your own to pique people’s interest and have some fun. Tarot does not only have to be used for telling fortunes, and not using them for other reasons would be a waste of money! Thinking about uncommon uses for everyday items can be a very fun hobby if you do it with enthusiasm, just be creative.
